Navdeep Kaur

Navdeep Kaur originally hails from Punjab, India. She completed her Bachelor’s in Biotechnology from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana in 2021 and her Masters in Plant and Environmental Science from New Mexico State University in 2023. Navdeep started her Ph.D. program at Texas A&M in the spring of 2024.
Her research focuses on characterizing the black spot isolates present in the rose fields in Texas and investigating the specific genotype-isolate interactions in roses. In 2025 Navdeep had the opportunity to present her work at the American Society for Horticultural Science Annual Conference at New Orleans, LA and received first prize in the ornamental plant breeding oral competition.
