Natalie Anderson

Natalie Anderson retired from the Rose Breeding Program at Texas A&M University after nearly 30 years working with Dr. David Byrne. She obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Biotechnology, a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and Biochemistry, and a Master of Science in Horticulture from Texas A&M University that supported her work in plant breeding and genetic research. Her early work with Dr. Byrne was actively involved in the development and improvement of peach cultivars.
As Research Associate she oversaw greenhouse and laboratory operations on campus, rose breeding and planting operations, and provided valuable guidance to graduate students. Natalie also served as a co-coordinator for the National Clean Plant Network (NCPN) for roses, an initiative aimed at ensuring plant health and disease prevention.
