Cristiane Taniguti is originally from São Paulo, Brazil. Cristiane obtained a bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of São Carlos, Brazil, in 2014. Cristiane obtained a master’s degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding In 2017 and a Ph.D. in 2021 from the Luiz de Queiroz College of Agriculture at the University of São Paulo, Brazil. Cristiane obtained a PhD in 2021. From 2021 to 2024, Cristiane was a postdoctoral research associate applying and developing biocomputational methods and tools for polyploid genetic analysis. Cristine made notable contributions, including the development of software to visualize genetic analysis results (https://doi.org/10.21105/joss.04242) and the construction of an integrated workflow system to build linkage maps from sequencing data (https://doi.org/10.1101/2022.11.24.517847). Besides these major activities, Cristiane contributed to other research projects and provided bioinformatic and biocomputing support for our team.
